Waiting for Christmas

It began with glitter, glue, and stolen chocolates—and turned into a lifetime of friendship.

Cody met Regen when they were three years old, two sparkly disasters after a Christmas craft project went hilariously wrong. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Growing up side by side in a small town outside Calgary, they shared everything: the Chipmunks peewee hockey team, their love of the Calgary Cobras, and an unshakable bond.

As they grew older, life pulled them in different directions. Regen chased his dream to LA, carving out a career in professional hockey. Cody stayed behind, following his own path to become a teacher. But no matter how far apart they were, they remained each other’s constant—best friends, always.

Now, with Christmas around the corner and Regen back home for the holidays, Cody finds himself facing the truth he’s kept hidden for years: he’s in love with his best friend. And Regen? Well, he’s always loved hockey... but maybe, just maybe, it’s time he looked a little closer to home.
